Kendra Siebert weaves together her interests in visual storytelling and strategic communication across the various community spaces she occupies. In her four years as an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, she has served as photo editor for Ethos, a multicultural magazine run through the University of Oregon (UO), as the co-director for the Robert D. Clark Honors College introductory program. She currently coaches peers at the School of Journalism and Communication’s (SOJC) Writing Central and interns as a strategist for Allen Hall Advertising, a full-service advertising agency supported by the SOJC.
As a student pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in both journalism and advertising at the UO as well as a minor in Spanish, Siebert is currently conducting original research about the urban art scene of Mexico. With funding support through a grant from the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, she has independently traveled to Mexico City and Oaxaca, where she interviewed local artists and archived their works phototographically. She hopes to publish a book about her research and aspires to find a career that prioritizes interpersonal communication and cross-cultural exploration, ideally as a strategist at an advertising agency.
